Brickplayer projects

I have completed three challenging projects so far. Here are photos with links to details of how they were built.

The Mansion

A grand house

This was my first completed project. I wanted to build something much bigger and grander than any of the models for which instructions were given in the Brickplayer kits. For more pictures and details, see the Mansion's page.

The Eco-house

A modern house with grass roof and solar panels

This was my second completed project. The idea was to create something completely different from the Mansion. More photos and details in the Eco-House's page.

The Church

A simple church

And here is my third Brickplayer project! I set myself new challenges here, particularly with the stained-glass windows. More photos and details in the Church's page.

The Street

For my next project, I am thinking of building a series of smaller models for which instructions are given in the Brickplayer kits, and which can be brought together to create a row, the Street. The thinking here is two-fold. First, I will be able to add some photos to the pages that deal with those kits. Second, these models could also be displayed individually, without having to find space at home for another big model.

Modelling projects by other Brickplayer builders

Chris Boutal is a leading light in the Bayko Collectors Club, whose members embrace a range of vintage construction toys, not just Bayko. Chris has built some wonderful Brickplayer models, some of which are shown here. These photos are all from displays that the BCC has presented at various shows.

Chris has built the entire Brickplayer Farm, shown here complete with farm animals and vehicles.

Chris built four copies of the Semi-Detached Houses from Kit 4, arranged around a square. In this photo just three are shown for clarity.

The BCC's Project Nayborley involved several club members in creating a large village called "Nayborley". Chris built this group of buildings, from Standard and Contemporary Brickplayer, including some he designed himself.

Finally, Chris found a grainy picture of a Brickplayer model that never appeared in any of the instruction books. Here is his recreation of that model. He calls it "The Lost Chapel".

If I obtain photos of projects by other Brickplayer builders, they will appear here, too!
