Images/My photo John Paul has been researching and implementing elicitation methods for the past 20 years. In particular, he has worked on extensions to the SHELF methodology and the interpretation of group judgements. John Paul has practical experience of facilitating SHELF exercises for academic, government and industry clients. In particular, he has worked on problems in disease control, human toxicology and ocean/climate modelling.

For the past few years, John Paul has been providing training on SHELF for academics and industry. He has also written a chapter on SHELF for a book outlining best practice in elicitation. In addition to this, in his role as Professor of Statistics at Durham University, he has a great deal of experience in teaching students about expert elicitation and making judgements about uncertainty.
