Tony O'Hagan - SHELF: the Sheffield Elicitation Framework
Course Tutor - James Salsbury
James is a second-year PhD student in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Sheffield.
His supervisor is Jeremy Oakley, one of the co-developers of SHELF. His PhD project involves developing
elicitation/assurance techniques in the context of clinical trials, in collaboration with Novartis.
He has created Shiny apps which incorporate SHELF techniques in the context of clinical trials.
With his supervisor from Novartis, he has chosen the appropriate parameters to elicit in the most
expert-friendly way. His PhD will be looking at the barriers of using elicitation in the context of clinical trials
and the ways to overcome some of these.
